Logistics Director. Köy-Tür, Ankara. 2000 – 2001.

- Köy-Tür Tavukçuluk A.Ş. was an ISO Top 50 company dealing with Poultry integration with a turnover of about 200 mUSD.

- Reported to the General Manager along with other functional and operational directors.

- Directly supervised a team of 12 personnel including a Purchasing Manager, a Certified Pharmacist, 2 Import Chiefs and 8 experts in Head Office.

- In charge of all purchasing activities of Köy-Tür Holding and its affiliates. Annual turnover of 100 million plus USD.


Operations Director. Efesinvest, İstanbul. 1999 – 2000.

- Efesinvest is the parent company of the Official Coca-Cola Bottlers in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Southern Russia.

- Reported to the President of Efesinvest along with the General Managers of the individual Bottlers.

- Directly supervised 2 Regional Operations Managers & 2 Operations Experts in Head Office and is functionally responsible from 5 Operations Managers and 500 plus employees in the bottlers.

- The total investmented capacity is about 500 million liters with a capital of 200 million plus USD.

With basic functions of;

  • Purchasing, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Cost Control, Facilities Management and Logistics – including transportation and distribution

- And with principal responsibilities of;

  • Negotiate all master contracts

  • Design and implement cost efficient systems and KPIs and monitor them.

  • Supervise the Bottlers’ Operations Departments

  • Introduce and follow-up the basis of supply chain management system


Planning and Logistics Manager. Efesinvest, İstanbul. 1998 – 1999

With main regular duties of;

  • Central procurement of all raw & marketing/promotional materials and finished products for 5 plants. Annually about 50M USD,

  • Management of a free zone entity in Tuzla for exporting various materials procured from Turkey, Annually about 12M USD,

  • Central coordination of Logistics activities; including planning, warehousing, transportation & distribution of raw & marketing materials and finished goods.

Logistics Manager. Lafarge Aslan Çimento A.Ş., Kocaeli. 1996 - 1998.

- Reported to Plant General Manager,

- In charge of Logistics Dept. composed of 1 Manager, 3 Chiefs, 1 Expert, 10 Staff & 19 Workers.

- Main regular duties included;

  • Purchasing of all raw materials, fuels, paper, spare parts etc. Annually about 25M USD- worldwide,

  • Packaging and shipment control. Bagging/Packaging/Loading of cement, with all related in-plant and coordination activities,

  • Pier Operations. On average 60,000 tons loading/unloading by 40 vessels per month. Peak rates of about 10,000 tons per day unloading,

- Special assignments included;

  • Plant Flows Team Manager in “Delta” Re-engineering project carried with Andersen Consulting.

  • Member of Lafarge Worldwide Purchasers Team.

- Duties included;

  • Direct management of 6 Minor Projects worth 1M USD.

  • Coordination of 2 Major Capital Projects worth 17M USD.

- Duties included;

  • Management of New Projects and Special Studies,

  • Preparation of Budget, Business Plans & Financial Analysis of Plant Operations,

  • Introduction of HEIJUNKA - Toyota Logistics system,

  • Implementation and follow-up of KAIZEN system & Cost Reduction Activities,
